Arriving mid-year

New to Johannesburg? We are ready for you.

International families do not always arrive in January, so we welcome mid-year intakes and plan for them.

A new child is paired with a peer buddy, gets close attention from their teacher, and is usually settled within a few weeks.

Because the Cambridge curriculum is followed around the world, a child moving from another Cambridge school picks up where they left off. Families, too, tend to find friends and traditions in their first term.

Community

When you join, you join a circle.

Children, families, teachers and our Fourways neighbours are all part of one circle here.

Cultural celebrations, family-led traditions and multilingual classrooms are part of an ordinary week, not staged for events.

We also take our place in the wider community seriously, working at school level to show up for the Fourways neighbourhood and the city we share, and connecting with families across the Waterford Education Precinct and the ThriveEd network.
